The Indian Motorcycle company has partnered with Mike Wolfe, the creator and host of History's "American Pickers" becoming a sort of brand ambassador for the American V-Twin company.

Think of R. Lee "Gunny" Emrey and his role in Indian's parent company, Victory Motorcycles. Just like Gunny's role, Wolfe will help build the Indian Motorcycle brand, the picker hosting Indian events across the country.

And this is the optimal role for Wolfe, who has been "picking" (finding antique gems in unique places) since the age of five. Wolfe says his best pick ever was finding a barn full of classic Indian motorcycles, and this is what fueled his desire to pursue the unique profession as a career.
Mike Wolfe says: "A few years back I was reading a motorcycle magazine. There was a classified ad that read 'Buy-Sell-Trade Indian Motorcycles.' I called the number. The older man who answered the phone said there were still a few rusty bikes out in the barn. I drove 800 miles, arriving in Pennsylvania the very next morning. When the old farmer opened the barn door I knew I had hit the mother lode: 10 vintage Indian bikes and two more barns full of spare parts. The mega pick of a lifetime."

Wolfe has turned his love for products that made America great into "American Pickers," a top cable television series, educating audiences about Indian in a refreshing and new way.

Darren Bassel (Director of Marketing at Indian Motorcycles) says: "With Mike's genuine passion for riding and knowledge of the brand, we feel he is the perfect brand champion to serve as the link between the incredible heritage of Indian Motorcycle and the exciting road ahead for Indian in the future."
Mike Wolfe agrees, saying "I'm an Indian rider, so I love the fact that I get to work with such an iconic American brand" said Wolfe. "These bikes are known for their timeless innovation, design and quality. It's going to be a hell of a ride."

Indian Motorcycle & Mike Wolfe to 2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
Indian Motorcycle and Victory Motorcycles are staking a new claim this year Aug. 4-11 in Sturgis with an exciting all-new bigger and better display. The new set-up at 3rd and Lazelle will debut the Indian Experience Truck, where Sturgis-goers can learn about the incredible heritage of the brand, and how Indian helped make motorcycling what it is today. Indian will also showcase all that is new for 2013. The company display will feature an entertainment stage, which will be the center for music and activity in Sturgis.

Wolfe will visit the Indian Motorcycle Experience at 3rd and Lazelle on Friday, Aug. 10th from noon to 2 p.m. to discuss how Indian helped him become America's #1 picker. Fans can get an autograph or a picture, or even bring a vintage Indian bike or memorabilia for a chance to spend some quality time with Mike and swap stories about Indian.
